Listen to Miss Wendy every Friday around 12:40 PM for a new tale on what not do to land yourself in jail. Miss Wendy’s Jail Tales is sponsored by Big Time Bail Bonds – If you’re in jail, you need bail!

Today’s tale is a story of two men hard up for some cash and sandwiches. You know, desperate times call for desperate measures *cough*FOOTLONG*cough* so the two dudes decided to rob a Jimmy John’s in Pittsburg, KS.
The Pittsburg Morning Sun reported on February 7th, 2017 that two men came into the Jimmy Johns through the back door and demanded that the three employees get on the ground. When the store manager denied them money from the safe, they demanded the employees  empty their wallets. To no surprise, because food worker wages, the perps scored a whopping $3. Maybe an establishment that holds more money would have been more profitable, however “When in Rome” you ask the employees to then make you sandwiches while you are there robing them (My personal favorite? The #12 Beach Club… can’t go wrong with a turkey sandwich). The robbers did not wait for them to finish building the sandwiches (aren’t they supposed to be freaky fast?) they intended on stealing and they took off on bicycles.

YES.
BICYCLES.

A responding officer saw the guys riding off on the bicycles. BUSTED! The officer cuffing the dudes recovered an air-soft pistol, baseball bat and $2… waitwasn’t the loot $3? Well, apparently they dropped a dollar bill.

Bond is set at $50,000. Think it was worth $3 … oh er, uh.. $2?

If you find yourself in jail and need bail don’t forget Big Time Bail Bonds can help you out.
