When I first got into the foster home, I was a little nervous and quietly whimpered for a bit. But I figured out pretty quickly that I was safe, and I settled right in. My first night I slept 10 HOURS STRAIGHT in a dog bed on the floor of my foster mom’s bedroom. 😴 Apparently I am very good at sleeping when I’m not stressed out!
I’ve also discovered some important things about life outside the shelter:
🥦 Raw broccoli is DELICIOUS.
🍉 Watermelon is also DELICIOUS.
🌲 Going for walks on the trails and sniffing EVERYTHING is pretty great.
❄️ But coming back inside to the AC afterward? ABSOLUTELY THE BEST. 😂
I don’t bark much inside at all. I might get excited and make some noise if something REALLY important happens—like when I spotted a deer antler and decided I absolutely needed it. 😂 I haven’t been barking much outside either. My foster mom thinks maybe the shelter environment was just really stressful for me. AND I’ve had ZERO accidents in the house and I always do my business when I go outside.
I’m also getting along really well with my two GSP foster siblings. I’m a pretty easygoing dude. ❤️ So far, my foster mom says I’ve been an all-around GOOD BOY. 🥰”
