Shadow has been with The Helping Hands Humane Society for the longest of any adoptable pet.
This sweet-natured female Pyrenees/Shepherd mix came to the humane society back in February. She was with a group of dogs who were in poor condition and needed support and care to make a turn around. Those dogs have since been adopted, and Shadow is the last of the group now looking for a family to love.
Why is she last? During her time at Helping Hands Humane Society, Shadow gave birth to a litter of puppies! They have since grown, gotten fixed, went up for adoption, and all found homes. 
She and her babies were fostered at Topeka Correctional Facility as part of their Pawsitive Pathways program.
