Come together with our community to walk for a cause! On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s will start at Lake Shawnee Shelter #1. Hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association, this is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
Over 7 million American’s are currently living with Alzheimer’s, and one in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. The disease not only impacts those diagnosed but also places immense emotional and financial strain on families and caregivers. Alzheimer’s and other dementias are projected to cost $384 billion in the United States alone. Help to stand up and raise funds for critical support!

Walk Begins: 9:30 a.m.
Register or join a team to participate. The walk is FREE to register for, but participants are encouraged to raise funds. You can also volunteer for the event or donate to support ongoing research and care. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is held annually in over 600 communities nationwide.
