The Godfather of Shock Rock and the former KISS guitarist brought their epic tour to the Stormont Vail Events Center in Topeka on Saturday.

Ace Frehley opened up the show with his band, including Topeka native Ryan Cook, by performing KISS songs like “Detroit Rock City” and “Shock Me” as well as material from his solo albums and a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Good Times Bad Times.”

Alice Cooper and his band performed songs from throughout his entire career, including hits like “Poison,” “I’m Eighteen,” and “School’s Out.” Their show was as theatrical as ever with plenty of fake blood, dead babies, and confetti to go around. Alice and the gang had nearly two years off prior to the pandemic, but they never missed a beat.
