New Theatre Takes Movies to the Next Level

Have you heard? Topeka has a new movie theatre in town!

There have been a lot of new things going in at the new Wheatfield Village at 29th and Fairlawn in Topeka, including a new B&B Theatre. B&B provides an upscale experience and offers movies in three formats such as a standard screen, the Grand Screen, and MX4D. The new theatre will open to the public this Thursday November 7th. They’ve had a few soft openings over the past few days and we managed to get ourselves a front row seat.

When you walk into the B&B you really do feel like you’re at an upscale establishment. The bar is amazing, offering local brews, well drinks, and cocktails with comfortable seating and a few big screen tvs for those of us who want to watch the game before we catch a movie. They even serve themed cocktails for movies they’re showing, like Terminator: Dark Fate. The service was great, we were greeted at the door and when we were sitting in the lobby an employee came over to see if we wanted to order drinks or food.

The Grand Screen itself, is fantastic and well worth the up charge to watch on a bigger screen. The seats are all leather recliners that can also be heated, if you want to turn that on. There is plenty of space to move around without feeling like you’re sitting on top of each other.

The B&B is a great addition to Topeka and the perfect option for folks who drove to Kansas City or elsewhere to see movies, because now we have all of the bells and whistles as well.
