It maybe Summer, but hockey season in Topeka is only a month away! The Topeka Pilots will be playing their second season at the Stormont Vail Events Center (formerly Kansas Expocentre). The players on the team range in age from 17 to 20 years old. All of them are looking to get a full scholarship at a college to play hockey. Some of the players do not have that opportunity when they are done playing in Topeka. That is why the Topeka Pilots Booster Club established a scholarship fund for the team members.
One of the big fundraisers for this is a golf tournament. This will be the first one that is being held by the booster club. Angie & Sean from the Majic Morning Show talked to Jason Simonsen, better known as “Bucketman” to find out how to not only participate, but to also sponsor a hole if you are a business.
