Nothing More brought the Truth Tour to Kansas City!

Nothing More, along with Palisades, Badflower and Of Mice & Men, hit the stage in Kansas City at The Truman on Friday (March 1st) night. The last time Nothing More played at The Truman, there was still quite a bit of space left in the venue, but that was not the case last night. The Truman was filled to the brim of loyal fans of all ages. Some were even there for there very first concert and stood right up front.

To put it simply, the show was amazing. Nothing More brought an arena worthy show to a club a few blocks away from the #1 arena in Kansas City. For starters, the band began with a sheet in front of the stage. Since when did bands every do this in small venues? I’ve only ever seen the stage being covered in arenas. Not only that, but the band also had CO2 as part of their production and, of course, the Truth Tour version of the Scorpion Tail.

Nothing More played songs from all three of their records including hits like “Jenny,” “Go To War,” and “Salem (Burn The Witch).” The crowd did not skip a beat, even after pepper spray exposure in between sets they sang along to every word that lead singer Jonny Hawkins belted out.

Another highlight of the night was the band Badflower. You may not know their name, but you’ve probably heard their hit single “Ghost.” They just put out their debut album a week ago and it’s worth your listen from front to back.

Another really cool thing about this tour is that $1 of every ticket sold went to a non-profit called To Write Love on Her Arms, which is a program that helps people struggling with addiction, depression and suicidal thoughts. It’s an amazing organization and if you went to the show, you helped keep it funded.
