This Sunday the VORTX will cook up double shots from Skillet each hour of the show!

Skillet has been around for 20 years, but didn’t have mainstream success until their album Comatose was released in 2006. Since then the band has done very well in the mainstream. In 2009 the band released the album that really defined their career, Awake. That album currently has platinum status according to the RIAA. Awake includes the platinum single “Hero” and double-platinum single “Monster.” Since that release the band has gained thousands of fans and they don’t have plans to stop anytime soon. Just last year they released Unleashed and the fans love it. That’s what it’s all about for them; the fans. You’ll hear 6 tunes from Skillet on this week’s show!

Not only will we feature the band’s music, but John Cooper, lead singer from Skillet, will be my guest on the show! We will also have a Skillet prize pack that includes a signed print, a flag and a copy of Unleashed! We’ll give it away just after 10 PM!

We’ll also have new tunes from HELLYEAH and Korn as well as music from your other favorite bands!
