Beartooth Go Country For New EP

Yep, you read that right.

The hardcore band Beartooth, known for songs like “Disease,” “Hated,” and “In Between” have gone country with their forthcoming EP, The Blackbird Sessions due out September 13th.

The new EP was recorded live at the historic Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN. The studio is owned by John McBride who is the husband to country legend Martina McBride.

Speaking with Taste of Country, Caleb Shomo, lead singer of the band, said “When the idea came up to do acoustic sessions, immediately my mind went to family holidays, constantly surrounded by singing old hymns and harmonies on harmonies. The idea of taking Beartooth in a direction of my first musical moments in life felt right.”

The EP will feature four songs from their latest album Disease, including the title track, “You Never Know,” “Afterall,” and “Clever,” which was just released. Watch the video for that below.
