RollingStone.com has put together a list of The 10 Messiest Band Breakups.  Despite having "messy breakups," some of these bands have regrouped, to some degree.

--Here are the ones they came up with, in apparently no particular order.

--Guns N' Roses . . . They broke-up in the mid-'90s, and haven't reunited.

--The Everly Brothers . . . They split in 1973.  They reunited 10 years later, and have worked together sporadically since.

--Oasis . . . They finally broke-up in 2009, and haven't reunited.

--The Police . . . They split in 1986, but have reunited twice since.

--The Eagles . . . They broke up in 1980.  They reunited 14 years later, and have worked together off and on since.

--The Clash . . . They disintegrated in the mid-'80s.

--The Smashing Pumpkins . . . The core group was done in 2000.

--Rage Against the Machine . . . They split in 2000, but reunited seven years later, and have performed together sporadically since.

--The Pixies . . . They broke up in 1993, but reunited in 2004 and have been working together off and on ever since.

--Queensryche . . . The band suddenly split with singer Geoff Tate last year, and they've not patched things up.  (--Although until the legal situation gets untangled, they both have groups performing under the name Queensryche.)
