What To Do and Not To Do In Topeka Hotels

This topic not only pertains to hotels in Topeka, but in any hotel you stay at, including the ones I like to stay when I am traveling. And these tips can save you from being tired and being embarrassed.

According to a doctor who is a bit of an expert on the subject, there are a few steps you should take to protect yourself when staying at a hotel.

Nothing ruins a good sleep like having an alarm clock go off unexpectedly. Yet Dr Ben MacFarlane says most people wouldn’t think to check the device after settling into the room. Author of Holiday SOS: The Life-Saving Adventures of a Travelling Doctor, MacFarlane notes that previous guests could have left it in the on position, or worse, set it to the wrong time.

MacFarlane also advises not to sleep naked, but not for the reasons you’d expect. If the fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night, your evacuation might get awkward.

Don’t carry the paper wallet the front desk gives you with the room key card. If a pickpocket got it, the thief would have access to not only your room, but the name of the hotel.

Hopefully these tips will help you the next time you leave the capital city.
