Rock on the Range Day 3 Recap

All good things must come to an end.

Day three was the last day of Rock on the Range, but it certainly wasn’t the least. Compared to days one and two, this one had the best weather by far. In fact, I think I got a little bit of sun. For me, day three was as exciting as it was relaxing. We got to see a ton of talented bands, but we also knew that after the show we got to go home and see our family and sleep in our own beds. That last part is really important because I was sleeping on the floor in an AirBnb, so my own bed was something that I really looked forward to. Enough of the crap, let’s talk about what went down on day three of the largest rock festival in the nation.

Highlights

  1. I Prevail – These dudes blew up a couple years ago when they covered a song by Taylor Swift. Ever since that song was released they’ve been on a roll. They’ve toured a ton, played a lot of festivals, put out an album and they don’t show any signs of stopping. These guys have so much energy on stage and you can tell they have a passion for what they’re doing. Watch some of their set from ROTR.
  2. Them Evils – The dudes from this band are some of the most relaxed and wasted guys you will ever meet. We had the chance to interview them on day two after the first rain delay, which actually caused their set to be moved to the third and final day of the festival, so that is why we’re featuring them on day three. They have a lot of energy and love some good ol’ rock ‘n roll. Not only did they perform their own music, but they also had a pretty sweet cover of AC/DC during their set.
  3. Godsmack – This band has been around for about 30 years and they don’t show signs of stopping anytime soon. We had the privilege of going backstage and chatting with the bassist from the band, Robbie Merrill. We got to chat about the new record, music video and what’s next for Godsmack. Listen below.
