Skillet Rocks Sold Out Expocentre

Skillet

Mainstream rockers, Skillet, played to a sold out show in Topeka on Saturday (April 14th).

Skillet returned to Topeka for the first time since 2009 this weekend and they did not disappoint. They brought a killer light show, heavy guitars and a spiritual side to the Capitol City. The band performed songs from records spanning the last 10-12 years. Fan favorites like “Monster,” “Rebirthing,” “Whispers in the Dark” and “Feel Invincible” all made the set let. The band even took a “break” from the lights and heavy guitars during the show to perform acoustic version of their song “Stars” in the middle of the arena. Skillet did not disappoint.

for King and Country joined Skillet on the joy.UNLEASHED tour in Topeka and killed it. The band has so much energy and passion that comes out while they’re on stage. Their production is insane with laser lights and video boards. If you missed out on seeing these guys be sure to go out of your way and get to their next show.

Opening for Skillet and for King and Country was Jen Ledger. She is the drummer for Skillet, but just put out a solo EP under the name LEDGER and is opening on the joy.UNLEASHED tour. Topeka was only her third ever solo show and it was awesome. Not only did she rock the Expo, but she also signed autographs for the first 200 people her purchased her new EP.

Take a look at some of my photos from Skillet at the Kansas Expocentre!
