This week the VORTX will be providing double shots from Shinedown!

Shinedown has been a leading act in rock music since the release of their first album Leave A Whisper which included hits like “Fly From The Inside” and “45.” They tour all the time and treat their fans with an amazing amount of respect. They also just announced their new album Attention Attention. The new album, coming out on May 5th, features their new single “DEVIL” which you can hear Sunday night inside the VORTX along with your favorite tunes from the band.

Shinedown is going on tour this summer with Godsmack as a part of the ultimate ticket to rock promotion, but will not be making their way to NE Kansas. Although that is unfortunate, I expect to see them sometime in the near future due to the release of a new album.

Also this week I’ll have a pair of tickets to Skillet at the Kansas Expocentre up for grabs. Be caller number 5 on the studio line when I give the cue to call and you’ll be heading to the show! Don’t worry if you miss out this week because I’ll have a couple more opportunities for you to win over the next few weeks.

We’ll be rocking out with new tunes this week from Godsmack off of their forthcoming album When Legends Rise. Plus, we’ll be spinning all of your favorites from bands like Five Finger Death Punch, A Perfect Circle and Bad Wolves.
