This Week Inside the VORTX – Three Days Grace

This week The VORTX has decided to climb the mountain to the high energy songs from Three Days Grace.

Just last week Three Days Grace announced their new album titled Outsiders which is currently available for pre-order and will be released via RCA Records on March 9th. With the announcement of a new record, we also got a new single titled “The Mountain.” We started spinning that last week inside the VORTX and we’ll give it another play coming up Sunday night. For those of you that don’t keep up on rock news, this is the second album from the band since the lead singer change. In 2013 Adam Gontier left the band and Matt Walst, the current singer and brother of Brad Walst, took over on lead vocals. You may recognize Matt from his former band, My Darkest Days. You’ll hear tunes from both versions of Three Days Grace this week inside The VORTX.

This week’s show is going to be a great one. Not just because Three Days Grace is headlining, but because we’ve got new music from Jonathan Davis, lead singer of KORN. He will be putting out a solo album later this year and he released the first single from the album last week. He will also be touring in support of the album and has a stop in Kansas City at The Truman on May 1st.

Last week we made the announcement that Skillet would be making their way back to Topeka in April! We’re excited to say that John Cooper, front man of Skillet, will be joining us as a guest on this week’s show! Also, next week we’ll have Ben from Breaking Benjamin inside The VORTX. You do not want to miss these interviews!

Don’t forget to keep up with The VORTX on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat for behind the scenes footage of concerts, the show and more! Next week Ethan will be in the photo pit for Breaking Benjamin and Avenged Sevenfold, so be sure to keep an eye on our pages for photos!
