Bruce Willis is Badass Cold in Death Wish Reboot

Bruno is packin’ in Death Wish reboot/YouTube screen grab/MGM

If you’re old enough to remember the first real badass vigilante movie “Death Wish” from 1974, you know what’s coming. Guns, killing, revenge and a deep cathartic sense of delight. Now add Bruce Willis and damn that’s just so good. This new reboot/retooling of the original that starred Charles Bronson from MGM has everything the first franchise had… and then some.

Willis takes the title role of Dr. Paul Kersey, a Chicago surgeon whose family is brutally victimized in their home. After getting the classic “cop brush-off” of being overloaded with crimes and “no results in sight”, Kersey goes on a man-hunt for the thugs who have wronged his wife and daughter. Along the way, he becomes a divided man, saving lives and taking them. His actions also spur media attention and he becomes a folk-hero after being labeled ‘The Grim Reaper’.

The film also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, and Dean Norris. Directed by Eli Roth,  the film is based on the 1974 movie and novel by Brian Garfield. It will debut in theaters on November 22.
